BASE CONSTRUCTION
- INCLUDING DWARF WALLS

Specification for the conservatory base includes a 450mm x 200mm strip concrete footing, encasing a slab, which comprises of fully compacted hardcore finished with sand blinding, 50mm insulation, d.p.c membrane and finished with 100mm concrete. The dwarf wall consists of 2 skins of brickwork with a 50mm cavity, with tie wires holding the 2 skins together. The dwarf walls are tied to the house using steel wall ties.

*With a plastered internal finish, the inner skin of the dwarf wall is built in either concrete or thermal breezeblock.

FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Our conservatories are manufactured to the highest standards, fulfilling the requirements of BS 7412, which covers window and door construction, security, safety, weather tightness, operation and strength of the frames manufactured.
